Women in Science…

… You Should Be Following On Social Media. By Erin Winick, CEO Sci Chic.

“As a girl growing up a fan of science, most of my role models were men. I looked up to people like Bill Nye, the Mythbusters, and Neil deGrasse Tyson. While they served as excellent inspirations, I didn’t have any people to look up to that looked like me. I was hardly aware of any women in the STEM fields.
However, with the rise of social media, today’s kids shouldn’t have to experience this. Therefore, we at Sci Chic would like to provide a list of women in a variety of STEM fields.”

I Like Podcasts

The Love + Radio Podcast is one of my latest finds. I like that they have very different episodes on different subjects.

“From PRX’s Radiotopia, Nick van der Kolk’s Love and Radio features in-depth, otherworldly-produced interviews with an eclectic range of subjects, from the seedy to the sublime. You’ve never heard anything like it before. New installments are added monthly.”

For recommendations on which episode to listen to first, see their About page, or try one of the epsidodes I liked: Deep Stealth Mode, Sesquipedalian, Greetings from Coney Island.
