Shorewood Lip Dub and how it was filmed.
“You Make My Dreams Come True” by Hall & Oates went through my head all afternoon, and it took me about two hours to figure out where I knew it from. (The lip dub didn’t show up in my search results on YouTube because it was blocked by GEMA.)
I posted about OK Go‘s recent video Upside Down & Inside Out a few weeks ago, but today I re-read the MetaFilter thread and discovered the Upside Down & Inside Out FAQ and credits for the video. I like their explanation of weightlessness on a parabolic flight, which is better than what one finds in most textbooks.
I also enjoyed OK Go Singer Passes Out During Music Video Shoot. See The Footage on Guff even though the title is a bit over the top. Scroll all the way down for the eight-minute video of the last day of shooting.
Upside Down & Inside Out by OK Go has to be one of the coolest and most impressively made music videos this geek has ever seen. Check it out!
I heard of the band and their impressive videos before when a colleague recommended This Too Shall Pass (Rube Goldberg machine). It’s blocked in Germany because of GEMA issues, but should be viewable elsewhere.
