Aerial Photography

You don’t need a plane to take aerial photos – Charles C. Benton takes photos using a kite. Kite Aerial Photography is his collection of photos and background info. Most of the photos in his gallery were taken in the San Francisco Bay area. If you want an overview, go to the Gallery Sampler – page 1, page 2, page 3, Benton’s collection of favourite shots. Simply amazing!

I found a few other interesting sites about Kite Aerial Photography on the web:

Kenya

Sunday, September 10, 1995: We saw lots and lots of animals in Samburu. This is probably going to be the day with the most photos, so it’s worth a look!

I also found two sites with lots of information about (African) animals:

The Animals of Africa are part of the African Wildlife Foundation web site.

Animal Bytes “were specifically designed to help you quickly find information about some of the unique creatures found in the animal kingdom. Most files include the scientific classification, fun facts, and biological value.”

I added links to the animals I saw and photographed to days 5, 6 and 8 of the Keny trip.

Richtig klasse.

Cinema

It’s a good thing I’ll be done with the exams by the end of November because it seems I’ll have to go to the movies a lot afterwards: Hobbits Go Head-To-Head with Potter at Movies. I definitely have t watch The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring and Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone. It’s really a good thing that Star Wars: Episode II – Attack of the Clones launches next year.

Here’s a Babelfish translation for the English-speaking zeppelin fans: Would ask not shoot.

Astronomy

Build a solar system: “Make a scale model of the Solar System and learn the REAL definition of ‘space.'” The page calculates the sizes of the planets and the diameters of the orbits if you specify the diameter of the sun.
