Is it possible that the hits on the homepage are no longer counted if you turn home page caching on? I did that a couple of days ago, and the page didn’t get 30 hits while I normally get around a hundred hits a day…

Makes sense to me…. Since I have been doing a static site, the manila-style hits have gone way down. You either get a processor hit and count the page count, or you do something to make it faster, and the hit is counted differently. What, specifically is going on, I don’t know, but I think you’re on the right track.

Now I’m torn. Should I turn homepage caching on and ease the serverload and make the page loading faster (for non-members)? Or should I leave it off and see how many hits I get? Somehow it’s frustrating to see those small numbers…
