From the You know it’s Monday when… department
I went to bed very early last night because I didn’t feel well. As a result, I woke up at six this morning, half an hour before the alarm went off; it was still dark outside. I felt refreshed and wide awake, jumped out of bed and wham! – hit the left side of my head on the corner of the half-open door. I literally saw stars for a second or two.
I cooled the eye right away for about twenty minutes, and as a result it doesn’t look too bad now. The bleeding stopped after a few minutes, and now I’ve got a lovely laceration above and slightly to the left of my left eye, which is starting to turn purple.
Interestingly, hardly anyone noticed at school, but that may change once the colour of the bruise starts to spread.
The rest of the day went surprisingly well.
Hope you feel better soon, kiddo. That sounds like it hurt!
It’s not too bad. Right now, it only hurts when you touch it. I think that cooling it immediately helped a lot.
The black eye is not even dark enough to notice from a distance. At least, non of my students have asked if I’ve been in a fight or something.
